Frequently asked questions
Do I need a background in health or nutrition?
No. Most students start with curiosity and a wish to help people. The program starts from the basics and builds up; what matters most is practising the coaching conversation, and you do that every week.
Who is this work for?
For people whose minds rarely rest: professionals under pressure, parents, carers, anyone who lies awake replaying the day. No experience of meditation is needed.
Do I need teaching experience to apply?
No. We look for a steady personal practice of at least two years, some time on retreat, and a real wish to serve others. Many students have never taught before; others already lead groups and want depth and supervision.
What is this page?
A sample question from the FAQ plugin. Edit or delete it in the admin, under Plugins → Questions.
How much time does it take each week?
About five hours: two to three hours of lessons whenever suits you, a one-hour live practice call, and some reading. The twelve-month pace halves that.
Is mentoring a kind of therapy?
No. Mentoring is education and practice, not medical or psychological treatment. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a doctor or a licensed therapist; you are welcome to do both.
How much time does the program take each week?
Plan on four to six hours a week: one live class, recorded lessons you can watch when it suits you, your own daily practice and a monthly mentor group. The practicum in the second year adds a few hours of supervised teaching.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. You can pay in full or in monthly instalments with no extra fee. Early-enrolment prices apply to both until the date shown on the program page.
Are the free series really free?
Yes. You leave your email, and the series opens straight away on this site. You can unsubscribe from the occasional letters at any time and keep access.
What if I miss a live class?
Every live class is recorded and posted within a day. You can miss a few without falling behind; your mentor will help you catch up on anything that matters for your practicum.
What if I fall behind?
Lessons stay open for the whole program and a year after, and you can move to the next class once at no cost if life gets in the way.
How does the Mastermind work?
Twelve weeks in a circle of up to twelve people: a live session each week, a practice between sessions and a private group. Places open twice a year; join the waitlist to hear first.
I live outside North America. Will the times work?
Live classes alternate between two times each month, and mentor groups meet at different hours of the day, including early mornings and weekends, so students from most time zones find a fit.
What does the membership include?
Every course, the monthly live circle, the full podcast archive with practice notes and early places at retreats, for one yearly price. Log in at any time to find everything in your account.
How does the monthly payment plan work?
You pay the first instalment when you enroll and the rest once a month, taken from the card you used. You can see every payment and what is still due on your enrollment page.
What can I do after I graduate?
Graduates coach one to one, run group programs, work inside clinics, gyms and companies, or add coaching to the work they already do.
Can I get a refund?
Courses and the membership can be refunded within 14 days of purchase if they are not for you. Retreats and the Mastermind follow the terms on their pages.
When does the early-bird tuition end?
The early-bird price is shown with its deadline on the tuition box. It applies to applications sent before that date, even if we accept you afterwards.
Do the live events happen online or in person?
Both. Each event page says where it happens; online events send the link with your confirmation, and every event offers a calendar file.
Is the certificate recognised?
You receive a certificate of completion from the school once you have finished the coursework, the practicum and your final teaching review. It shows the hours of training and supervised teaching you completed.
Can I get a refund if my circumstances change?
Yes. Tuition is refundable in full until the program starts, and pro rata during the first three months. After that we can usually help you defer to the next cohort.
How are applicants chosen?
Two members of faculty read each application. We may invite you to a short video conversation. Decisions are sent by email within two weeks, and accepted applicants receive a personal link to enroll.
